Making All Things New
is a (roughly) monthly email with something I’ve been thinking about, and three quick links to things I’m loving. It’s how I keep myself writing and thinking in between larger writing projects, and it’s one way I find connection with a wider community of people interested in faith and language and creation and books. You’ll find me sharing poems and recipes and podcast episodes, as well as things like reflections on parenting or the natural world or the Bible.
I’m a writer, teacher, and priest in the Episcopal church. I live in North Carolina with my husband, two kids, three cats, and the blue ridge mountains.
My most recent book, Where Goodness Still Grows is available wherever books are sold. The updated edition of Dangerous Territory is now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook! I’ve also written for Image, The Millions, Washington Post, The Other Journal, Cresset, Christianity Today, River Teeth, Relief, Mockingbird, Christian Century, and elsewhere.
As a teacher, I worked in cross-cultural and and honors-level academics and student development, teaching ESL for two years in Southeast Asia before returning stateside to teach in California, Arkansas, Washington, and Indiana. Before my call to the priesthood, I loved teaching creative writing, intercultural communication, and interdisciplinary honors courses at a Christian college in the midwest.
I’d love to have you read along.
